Orton-Gillingham Training Courses
For
the first time in Toronto, training is available in the Orton-Gillingham
Approach. In convenient one-day seminars, trainees will learn why
this approach is considered the most effective remediation
for students with dyslexia.
The course focuses on what can be
done to help children and adults with dyslexia using structured,
systematic programs that motivate and encourage students to
improve their reading and writing skills.
Course Title: Introductory Level Training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach
Who can attend: educators, parents, professionals involved in education
Length of course: 30 hours delivered in 4 full day seminars
Dates: Available throughout the year
Cost: $600 + HST, 15% discount for groups of 4+
Course Title: Associate Level Training in the Orton-Gillingham
Approach
Who can attend: Educators,
parents, professionals involved in education
Length of course: 60
hours course work delivered in 8 full day seminars plus supervised practicum

may be attended on a stand-alone basis:

Start dates: Spring,
summer, fall and winter start dates
Cost:
- Full 60 hour course $1250 + HST
- Practicum arranged separately at an additional cost
- One-day seminar $150.00
